Munky619 0 Posted January 16, 2005 my screen is stuck at 16 colors and 640x480 pixels...... and when i go to settings and change it to High Color and when i try to change it to 800x600 pixels it doesn't change when i reboot. it just stays at 16 colors and 640x480 pixels..... help? peterh 1 Posted January 17, 2005 Sounds like your S3 card doesn`t have enough memory on it for higher res (if its built in then you can set memory via BIOS Setup screen before Windows loads). Share this post Link to post

I'd suggest detecting the graphics chip and going from there. Unless you know it already then just go get some new drivers A good source for drivers (if the ones above arent right) is here: http://list.driverguide.com/list/company906/page2/ If you downlaod drivers from here, use the login/pword: drivers/all when prompted.
