^^ How, instructions plz?`

my screen is stuck at 16 colors and 640x480 pixels...... and when i go to settings and change it to High Color and when i try to change it to 800x600 pixels it doesn't change when i reboot. it just stays at 16 colors and 640x480 pixels..... help? Here's a pic:

I had that prob too, just wait awhile, and click every once and a while, it'll come,it might even take 5 minutes.

Oh, Yeah, U can also add " -f" if u want it in full screen, " -w" is to play in a window.

THE SOLUTION (for me) a. Right-click on the The Sims 2 game and left-click on Properties. You can do this either on the game's shortcut on the desktop or on the game's entry in the Start menu. b. Add a space and -w to the end of the Target field, so that it looks like this: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSBin\Sims2.exe" -w Note: The actual path may vary depending on where the game was installed. Make sure that the -w goes outside the quotation marks and that there is a space between the last quotation mark and the -w. c. Click OK. Be Happy!

I redownloaded DX,moved it to System32, enabled all the stuff, AND IT STILL DOESN'T FREAKIN' WORK!!!! This is Piecing Me Off...... P.s. i'm running a Windows ME
