SMP Problems with Q3 and V3 2000 agp

I'm really curious as to why i'm unable to run smp with q3 with the current drivers from 3dfx. Is it the drivers themselves or is it something i'm doing wrong? Currently i'm running nt4 workstation, sp5, 128mg mircon pc100, and a v3 2000 agp.

 

Someone shed some light on this problem and possibly a fix or a workaround?
