news 28 Posted December 24, 2009 Hi all, I just wanted to let everybody know that currently the merge information at http://merges.ubuntu.com is not being updated indefinitely (see last paragraph or so for more info). As an alternative you can merge by hand or using the newer bzr tools: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DistributedDevelopment/Documentation/Merging To find what packages are likely to need a merge you can use the "Outdated in Lucid, and Lucid has local changes" section of the lists at: http://qa.ubuntuwire.com/multidistrotools/ The MoM problems are apparently due to some bugs with respect to the new Debian source formats. MoM also fails when it encounters a problematic package rather than skipping and moving on. If you have a desire to help fix those problems, MoM's source code can be obtained via: bzr branch lp:merge-o-matic I believe any Ubuntu Core Developer can commit to this branch and http://merges.ubuntu.com will be updated. -Jordan -- Share this post Link to post
