About GNOME Shell ================= GNOME Shell provides core user interface functions for the GNOME 3 desktop, like switching to windows and launching applications. This is still a VERY EARLY version of GNOME Shell and should not be taken of indicative of the final user interface or performance. We are providing tarball releases at this point largely to allow distributions to start building packaging for GNOME Shell.
