news 28 Posted June 17, 2009 We revisit the OCZ Vertex and throw in the recently introduced Super Talent UltraDrive ME into the mix. Both drives are controlled by the ARM-based Indilinx CPU. We put these two against SSD's with Samsung, Intel, and JMicron controllers, and even threw a few high end hard drives for fun. Evaluation of fragmentation slow downs and TRIM tool operation will also be addressed. Come on in and check 'er out! That said, I continue to get the feeling that they have not yet reached their full potential. If you are willing to jump through all of the necessary hoops to make the TRIM tool work, and run it regularly, you will see some great write performance. If you don't, expect your write performance to drop considerably as you use it." Thanks for a post! Ryan Shrout PC Perspective rshrout ( -at -) pcper.com Share this post Link to post
