Sunnyvale, CA - Total Phase is pleased to announce native Mac OS X support for the new Data Center 3.0 software, the only hardware-based USB, I2C, and SPI protocol analysis software in the industry with true real-time performance and cross platform support for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

This release is a part of Total Phase's continuing commitment to serve the needs of the Mac developer community. By providing Mac support for its lines of embedded systems development tools, Mac developers have access to powerful and cost-effective USB, I2C, and SPI debugging solutions while working natively in Mac OS X.

True Real-Time Performance:

With LiveDisplay technology, developers gain instant access to USB, I2C, and SPI bus data. While many solutions claim to have real-time analysis, the LiveDisplay technology shows the actual bus data as it is happening in true real-time, breaking from the traditional capture-download-process model of protocol analysis.

"LiveDisplay is an especially powerful and useful feature in the Data Center 3.0 software," states Derek Fung, Senior Engineer. "Immediately seeing the USB, I2C, or SPI packets as they happen gives developers unparalleled visibility into the communications on their embedded systems."

To help manage large streams of incoming data, the LiveFilter feature allows developers to instantly filter live USB, I2C, and SPI traffic against any number of parameters. Additionally, the LiveSearch functionality offers a powerful way to quickly locate data of interest in a live capture.

"In this economic climate, it is especially important to improve productivity. Users can filter out extraneous data and pinpoint relevant data quickly with the LiveFilter and LiveSearch features," Mr. Fung adds. "Problems can be identified faster, saving engineering time and costs. If we can save an engineer a day of debugging, these tools will have paid for themselves."

About the Beagle Protocol Analyzers:

The Beagle Protocol Analyzers are the hardware complement to the Data Center Software. These analyzers can non-intrusively capture and display USB, I2C, and SPI serial bus data. Total Phase offers three different bus monitors: the Beagle USB 480 Protocol Analyzer, a high-speed USB 2.0 monitor, the Beagle USB 12 Protocol Analyzer, a full-speed USB monitor, and the Beagle I2C/SPI Protocol Analyzer, which can capture and display I2C and SPI data.

Pricing and Availability:

The Data Center 3.0 software is available immediately as a free download for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X on the Total Phase website. Beagle protocol analyzers are available for purchase online and orders placed before 2 PM PST are usually shipped the same day.
