The WebObjects Community Association, Box Office Tickets, and MacTI would like to remind all WebObjects developers and Web developers who want to learn WebObjects, that early-bird pricing for WOWODC West 2009 ends on May 6th. Unlike WWDC, WOWODC is full of WO content and is the ultimate place to enhance your skills and build your professional network. Join us for two packed full days of focused learning hosted by the WebObjects community's leading experts.

 

Montreal, QC - The WebObjects Community Association, Box Office Tickets, and MacTI would like to remind all WebObjects developers and Web developers who want to learn WebObjects, that early-bird pricing for WOWODC West 2009 ends on May 6th. Unlike WWDC, WOWODC is full of WO content and is the ultimate place to enhance your skills and build your professional network.

 

This two day event will be held on June 6th and 7th, right before WWDC, at the beautiful Hotel Whitcomb in San Francisco. Breakfast and lunch will be served each day, and refreshments and snacks will be served at the breaks. The sessions will be recorded and provided to attendees. Non-attendees may purchase the recordings. Join us for two packed full days of focused learning hosted by the WebObjects community's leading experts.

* WO and JavaScript front-ends

Some say Ruby on Rails is the tool for Web 2.0 apps, but we will show you that WebObjects and Project Wonder can be use to write fantastic Web 2.0 apps.

 

* Direct to Web Overview -

Get an introduction on the best kept secret of WebObjects, the powerful Direct To Web (D2W) framework.

 

* Development Tools -

Learn how you can use Maven to manage your WebObjects projects, and also why you should use it. You will also learn how to use JavaRebel with WOLips and WebObjects. We also have a session on Test Driven Development and meet the tools (ERSelenium, JUnit, JMock).

 

* Deployment -

Learn how you can use Capistrano and Hudson for building and deploying your applications. You will also see a tool that use DTrace to debug your deployed applications.

iPhone is all the craze, learn how you can use WO and JSON as a back-end of iPhone applications.

Lean powerful ways of making validation work for you and how to handle caching and locking.

 

Pre-Registration:

Tickets are $400 USD ($410 USD if paid by cheque). Purchase your ticket by May 6 and save $50. Discounts for groups of 3 or more are also available. Registration will be available at the door, however we can't guarantee food or beverages. We also have a sleeping room block for WOWODC guests, with special rates starting at $99/night.
