Dual Monitor problem with 98 and 2K

Recommended Posts

It's a strange problem. 98 works provided the AGP card is set to boot first in the BIOS. Windows 98 works provided that the PCI card is set to boot first in the BIOS.

I really hate messing with the BIOS everytime I want to change OS. Any thoughts?

I got win98 to work with dual monitor, using one GeForce 256 DDR Creative, and an oldie ATI RAGE VT... But the RAGE VT refused to initialize in win2k.....

I didn't have any solution...

You could always just ditch Win9x smile

On the other hand, some BIOS (well, mine has anyway) have the option to change the order in which the PCI slots are enumerated. Changing this setting might solve the problem...
