deleting win2k progs/features

can anyone help me with or point me to a guide on safely

deleting unwanted parts and features of the default install

like the M$ games?

This works in xp, but I think it'll work in 2k too.

 

in C:\WINDOWS\inf\sysoc.inf

 

just remove the HIDE in the line of the stuff you want to remove

 

EXAMPLE

 

Pinball=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,pinball.inf,HIDE,7

 

Pinball=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,pinball.inf,,7

 

and it'll apear in the add/remove

[snakefoot 0]

It also works nice if replacing all instances of HIDE, (notice the ",") with nothing. Never the less make a backup of sysoc.inf before editing the file.
