New Forum

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded the forum software to phpBB2 smile

This update was necessary because of a feature which is only available in phpBB2.

Please let me know if there are any issues/problems. Thanks.

I do not like it. Where is the User Control Panel? When I wanted to change my signature it wouldn't let me have more than two lines. Please vote @ my poll about the new site in the Others forum. laugh

Once again ... I am sure I was the last one to see this. I like it Philipp - it really ties the site together.

[Edit]

I miss the "lightbulb" feature.

Wow....This is so cool..and fast.... 8)

I like this very much......I like those new feature. It gave me a (big) suprice when I come in (since I am working on my board for a couple day. I just sick of going back to my forum, coz I messed it up twice in the same day.)(and of course I just like usual to be the stupidest person in the whole wide world....I reinstallled it .....and then I lost every single data........(stupid Wendy))

anyway this is great.....Thanks for upgrading it....

P.S. just make sure you know that your laughing icon didn't come up.... laugh

You can share the user database between multiple forums or sites.

Philipp, would you post a link to the main NTComp page on the main forum page? There used to be one at the bottom, and since the *nix forum has one I was hoping that you could do the same here.

Philipp - also the usual message forum index page link on the main page has been replaced with a link to the 2KSP3 thread. I know I can get back to the forum index from there, I just thought I'd let you know.

When is the new version of the site that is going to have the control panel going to be out? That was a great feature that I miss. That is one of the main reasons I do not like the new site. ;(

The other thing I miss is the "go to first unread post" button - or is it hiding somewhere I haven't noticed?

this button will take you to the first unread post: icon_newest_reply.gif

Yeah, but I keep forgetting to use that button. The old UBB system used to have the same button at the top of each thread.

Overall though, I have to say that I like the look of the new board - something a bit funky!
