I think that it 's a stupid question but !!!!!

 

--> How do you do to create a system disk under windows XP ?????????

 

Yesterday it bothered me because I haven't got any system disk and I gave my Win XP CD to a friend ......

 

If it's possible to create a system disk under XP, it's not at the same place than under w95 - 98 - me ::: ---- )))))

Microsoft offers download of Home or Professional Setup Disks.

 

The floppy boot install will create 6 boot diskettes for Windows XP.

err how about the quick and simple way?

 

Right click floppy, select format, check off create msdos startup disk.

 

Format disk, use it to boot with.

Unless you've formatted your hard drive as NTFS. The system disk created using the steps Seldzar explained is a Windows ME startup disk. Thus, it can't read NTFS.
