    Integrity check problem HELP

Hi, I have for 1 week an issue with win XP pro. Everytimes that I boot up my computer, Win XP checks the "integrity" of my HDD (ntfs). After that it has checked it, he reboots my machine and ... it checks it again! So I have to press a key to cancel the integrity check, if I don't do that, ma machine will reboot continuously! It's strange because the integrity check doesn't find any problem with my HDD ... But SOMETIMES, (not everytimes !) win XP says me that a file is damaged (CME II sys or something like that) and that I have to check the integrity of my hard disk whereas windows does that at every boot! I don't think that my HDD is damaged. My win installation is brand new ! I have formated my HDD and installed win XP pro 2 weeks ago ! What can I do ? What 's the mater with my HDD ? Please ... Help ;( Thanks for your answers !

    Problem with Internet Explorer

Hello ! I created a new session under windows XP Pro yesterday. Everything is right, every application works fine, but I CAN'T GO ON A HTTPS website with internet explorer (v.6) .... It's realy boring because I can't go on my mailbox, ... I have tried to uninstall IE 6 to reinstall it ... But I can't find where I can remove it ... Maybe I don't have to reinstall it, it's maybe a stupid option which is not enabled under this session (because under the other sessions of win XP, I can surf on a https website ...) Please tell me what I have to do ... And if I have to reinstall ie6, tell me where ... Thanks ! Val

    Xp Too Slow

Hi, I don't know what are your system specifications. I had the same problem, XP was slow, not only for the boot up but to launch an application, too. I know that XP ask minimum a 500 Mhz (it's recommended) and that I have a 433 Mhz, but it was not normal. I have found a patch called memory enabler for VIA chipset only, it has worked for me but if you have'nt a via chipset it not works for you, I have installed it and now, my computer is perfect ! If you have a via chipset, try it (this patch doesn't work for all via chipset - read the documentation in the zip archive), you can download this patch here PATCH VIA MEMORYENABLER It was my solution .... ! If you don't have a via chipset, check your Bios settings ... A lot of problems comes form a bios which is badly configured ! Bye ...and good luck !

    Please help me !

I have two computers. One under win nt 4.0 and the other, under win XP The win nt4.0 is a computer from my office and the networking is configured for my office network. I would like to make a local netwotk with my computer at home (win XP) and my computer from my Office to use my printer, to transfer files, ... The problem is that all the network parameters are configured for my Office (There is something like: "Obtain IP address from a DHCP server", a domain name, ... I would like to make a simple network with just 2 computers and I can't because if I change my parameters, I wouldn't be able anymore to use the network at my Office ... Is it possible to create something like a new WINT NT session where I can set special network parameters, to make a local network at home, without change my office 's network parameters ? I think that it's possible but I don't know win nt and moreover I am really bad to use a network ? So, what about a simple issue ? PLEASE !

Apps under XP reacts very slow...

Hello, I see that you use the DSL. I have a DSL modem (USB) too and when this one is switch on, my computer reacts slow in games, applications,... So when I want to play, to use an application which asks a lot of performance, I switch off my USB DSL modem. I think that your problem is more important (you have to wait 3 minutes .... me just 10 sec ) ;( because you are one a network too . So try to switch off your network and your DSL modem and see ... if it works ... ! I see that the problem is more important on slow computers (400 Mhz) than on faster computers (800 Mhz). Bye, Valéry
