3dfx VooDoo 3/4/5 working on WinXP with Tools!

Recommended Posts

I have been enjoying Hujer HoE's hack for VooDoo cards now for the past few days and enjoying the hell out of it. However, I did mis my anti-aliasing tab as well as other tabs in my feature list on the settings dialog. But I recently discovered that if you install the current 3dfx Win2K drivers over the hack install, you get all of your feature tabls like anti-aliasing, and 3dTV, etc! And it still works great!

I got so excited about this discovery, that I wrote an in depth tutorial on my own personal website. Check it out!

Sorry about the multiple post! Just trying to help! wink

Many of you have visited my site to check out my tutorial and have found this page to sporadically disapear.

Well, this is due to Windows XP not liking Apache. I can't explain it. Apache won't log any errors yet, certain images on my site as well as certain strings of code (not to mention whole pages) either don't show up, render with visual distortion, or just render with random text and/or information from other pages! It's quite disturbing, but I can only wait until I can find a more stable host. In the meantime, I apologize for any past, present and future difficulties viewing this tutorial.

Well, when I personally tried to install those GOD2 drivers, it didn't include the tools much less work for that matter. wink Hence, the inspiration for my tutorial. But thanks tho!

Anyway, I fixed the website. You should be able to view the tutorial with no problem now! Have fun!

Cairey's drivers work extremely well. They are the top drivers as of tonight. It uses some of HOE's code, and also gives you all sorts of cool 3dfx tools and options. No crashes or wierd colors either!

I guess I'm one of the "unlucky ones" (as cairey puts it) I can't get these drivers to display the tools nor run Glide. I think I'll stick with what worked for me before. Thanks anyway. wink
