  1. That's right, I've written a tutorial (based on Hujer HoE's drivers) that explains how to do this in detail! I've posted to this forum about it a long time ago, but I've changed locations and my tutorial has been updated since then. Enjoy! http://www.ansiblenetwork.com/tutorials/winxp_3dfx/winxp_3dfx.shtml Have fun!

3dfx VooDoo 3/4/5 working on WinXP with Tools!

I guess I'm one of the "unlucky ones" (as cairey puts it) I can't get these drivers to display the tools nor run Glide. I think I'll stick with what worked for me before. Thanks anyway.

3dfx VooDoo 3/4/5 working on WinXP with Tools!

Well, when I personally tried to install those GOD2 drivers, it didn't include the tools much less work for that matter. Hence, the inspiration for my tutorial. But thanks tho! Anyway, I fixed the website. You should be able to view the tutorial with no problem now! Have fun!

WinXP Pro : How to login as 'Administrator'?

Actuall, I acomplished exactly what you are looking to do by accident. The only account I have on my machine is the default one I setup after install. Well, I went into the Control Panel and opend up the User Accounts window. I created a temporary account with admin privlages, logged out and logged in with this new temp account. I went back to the User Accounts window and selected my default account and changes the privlages to "Limited". If you log out again, your welcome screen should display an Administrator account by default. The password for this account is nothing. So when it prompts you for one, just hit enter. You should be able to edit your default account and give your self admin privlages again. Delete your temp account. Once you've set everything up the way you want, log out and log back in with your default account. I think once you've set up your Admin account, you will no longer be able to see it on the welcome screen (as long as your default account has admin privlages) but it IS still in your machine. You can access your Admin account by logging in to it with the old style login window. Hope this helps.

3dfx VooDoo 3/4/5 working on WinXP with Tools!

Many of you have visited my site to check out my tutorial and have found this page to sporadically disapear. Well, this is due to Windows XP not liking Apache. I can't explain it. Apache won't log any errors yet, certain images on my site as well as certain strings of code (not to mention whole pages) either don't show up, render with visual distortion, or just render with random text and/or information from other pages! It's quite disturbing, but I can only wait until I can find a more stable host. In the meantime, I apologize for any past, present and future difficulties viewing this tutorial.

  7. I have been enjoying Hujer HoE's hack for VooDoo cards now for the past few days and enjoying the hell out of it. However, I did mis my anti-aliasing tab as well as other tabs in my feature list on the settings dialog. But I recently discovered that if you install the current 3dfx Win2K drivers over the hack install, you get all of your feature tabls like anti-aliasing, and 3dTV, etc! And it still works great! I got so excited about this discovery, that I wrote an in depth tutorial on my own personal website. Check it out! http://ansible.homeip.net:8080 Sorry about the multiple post! Just trying to help!
