Powercolor Geforce2 mx400 Review

Recommended Posts

3dXtreme has posted a review on Powercolor´s Geforce2 mx400.

The Geforce 2 MX was getting old, hence the new Geforce 2 MX 400. This card comes with 64 megs of Ram at 166MHz and core speed of 200 Mhz. Will this added boost in amount of memory and core speed be enough over the cheaper original Geforce 2 MX to make it a better buy? Is this new card worth upgrading from your old Voodoo 3, Geforce 256, TNT, Intergrated Graphics , or even its older brother the Original Geforce 2 MX?

It took less than a week for me to get this board from Powercolor and I must say, they believe in quality. The box is smaller than those you will see by Hercules and the other manufacturers, but it has all the neccessary information you will need on the back. When I opened the box I found out the board was equiped with a heatsink/fan combo, TV-out, DVI connector, RCA cable, S-video cable, driver cd, WinDVD 2000, and a full copy of Unreal Tournament (2 CD´s). For the estimated price of $129 US that it runs, it seems to be a pretty good package deal.
