Service Pack 2=lotsa bluescreens

Recommended Posts

Since i installed SP2, my system crashes quite often, always leaving

this message: unhandled exeption .....

wdmaud.sys....

i searched for this file and found out, its from the new service pack2 and handles midi and wave-mapping. is it possible that it can't handle my yamaha xg192D? reinstalled drivers, but problem doesn't end.

my specs:

ms 6120 BX3 Dual Board, onboard UWSCSI,

2 x Celeron 466@525Mhz

384MB PC 133

voodoo3 2000@180Mhz

4 HDs all scsi of diffenrent kinds

PS: System never had bluescreen before SP2

thanx for any hints smile

Funny, no problems here.

Except 2 IE problems

1 is a reproducable I call "99% Memory " IE bug

and the other is a 99% memory for taskmanager.

Annoying as hell, but doesn't happen often, sooo laugh

Have you tried setting the pc back to the original speed? It very well could be SP2, but just for the heck of it, try the original speed just to make sure.
