Hi, I had the same Problem several times with that mobo. Got 20 Comps with the k7s5a in my Internetcafe. Just set the clear cmos jumper to clear all settings, switch on comp, then put the jumper to original setting and it should boot up again. the jumper is the red one near the battery. Hope this helps you out, in my case it did it quite often. Good Luck!

where did u get those drivers from got mine from adaptec site, but they won't install, i did disable driversigning.. get a weird syntax error and the drives won't be installed...

I will try it myself, m8 I will try my best to get it done, and will post those drivers, will test them, to see if the Quantum ones are beter than the 3dfx reference for W2K but thanks anyway )

Yes, i know, but with a few settings in the reference ini-file it runs as it should, but someone has to implent the tv-out settings, could u do that? do u have an obsidian to test it? i will give u that modified ini tomorrow, maybe u can handle it. thanks for replying anyway

Hi, i checked your drivers and they work for me under WIN2K and XP, great work! I wanted to ask u, if u could make a new set with the newest Glide and OpenGL drivers, which are in the Reference W2K drivers for the voodoo 2, because the ones from your manipulated ones seem to be the same as the ones from the original Quantum Drivers, which are quite old:( I can even test them for u, if u don't have an obsidian at home I have selfmodified reference drivers, which work with the obsidians quite well, but their is no TV-Out support:(

thanks for the tip, but it still came up, i slipped down the hardware acceleration for my sound card almost to lowest point, seems to work now. will tell if stays stable.

if u use programs like nuendo, cubase vst, samplitude 2496 or simular progz u can achieve more realtime-efx than with a faster prozessor, all games with quake 3 engine support dual processors, but only work with nvidia cards, because nvidia have the only drivers meeting the smp specs, u have to type in special settings r_smp=1 it was, as i can remember on voodoo or ati it will crash, though:( don't know about kyro...

Since i installed SP2, my system crashes quite often, always leaving this message: unhandled exeption ..... wdmaud.sys.... i searched for this file and found out, its from the new service pack2 and handles midi and wave-mapping. is it possible that it can't handle my yamaha xg192D? reinstalled drivers, but problem doesn't end. my specs: ms 6120 BX3 Dual Board, onboard UWSCSI, 2 x Celeron 466@525Mhz 384MB PC 133 voodoo3 2000@180Mhz 4 HDs all scsi of diffenrent kinds PS: System never had bluescreen before SP2 thanx for any hints
