Recommended Posts

Anyone knows how to share Internet Connection under Windows NT 4.0? I want to be that computer the host, while others (Win9x) should be the clients...

As far as I know there is no ICS in NT 4.0.

I use Sygate as my ICS software and it works great. You might want to take a look at that.

I **think** you can use RIP to set up your NT4 box as a router.. which will need two NICS...

I know you can do IP forwarding, so ya gotta be able to. If not, there's proxy servers out there you can download and use. Hope this helps some.

ICS acts as a proxy, whereas RIP acts like a router. A bit of a difference as far as security goes. You are better off just getting some sort of proxy software. You can try www.download.com and lookup "proxy". You can even find some free ones there that work well.
