    Possible Solution for Infinite Loop,Nvidia,BSOD's

Hi The only thing ive ever changed is the vid drivers and updated the via stuff(this never helped). The only set that I dont get it with are the 23.11s. The latest 27.xx are not as bad as pre 23.xx but still not good. Ive tried every "trick" posted here and elsewhere. Some work some to some extent most dont. The whole situation, whatever the cause is a huge pile of Sxxx!
  3. Hi I did almost the same thing a while back, although im now back on xp, and everything has been fine. The changes that ms have made would appear to be slight. The only problems ive heard of are that some utils treat them differently but ive had no problems at all. NTFS never the f*****g same

    Windows XP Appearance

This has just happened to me! The only different thing ive done recently is use a different reg cleaner, but it would be unlikely to be that.... switched on after a few hours and it was all gone
  5. Hi For what its worth. I recieved a response from my card manufacturer to this prob. Among the usual stuff was " disable Write Combining", which was the only new thing I hadnt tried. Maybe this will help some body. Will post whole thing if anybody wants to read it. In the end I did not need to do any it as it all sorted itself with the 23.10/11 drivers.
  6. AlecStaar The link seems to be wrong. Something to do with the copy and pasting of the url, as I just made the same mistake!!!! It should read. www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

    Nvidia 23.10's

Hi guys Have installed 23.10's seem quite good. Same experience as Andyfair with the inf loop problem. I used to be able to induce this by playing with 3d screensavers!! Seems to be a slight speed hit though in some games. Its all going in the right direction!

    Massive CD-burning problems with XP...

Microsoft have a fix that helps with xp support for some cd burners in the updates section. Hope this helps with some of your problems. Nero 5.5.5.1, Clone and Blindwrite works for me.

    RAM problems with Windows XP

I have exactly the same memory setup ie. 3 x 256mb sticks from Crucial and have had no problems like this. However I did have the some issues with Me, which turned out to be a hack of the reg to get it to recognise >512mb,(shouldn't be an issue in xp) AND the bios settings.
