The only drivers that come with W2K are the Umax 600p and 610p. Neither of those will work. There has to be another manufacturers driver for Windows 2000 that will work with a Visioneer 6100b.

I was having huge problems with IE freezing my computer and Outlook Express taking 15 minutes to load and then freezing my computer. I upgraded to 6.0. Downgraded to 5.5. Tried a manual uninstall including cleaning the registry using the outlook express registry clean tool and reinstalling. Nothing helped. I decided to upgrade to W2K. System is 100% faster. Works great. Two problems. IE crashes anytime I try to right click on a web page. And, Outlook Express won't even start. I gives me a can't address memory at address "hex memory address". I don't think it is hardware since I am not getting error like that in any other applications. Any thoughts, Thanks

Visioneer has not written Windows 2000 drivers and doesn't plan to write drivers for many scanners. They state that W2K is not an upgrade path from Windows 98. Does anyone know of another driver that will allow a parallel port Visioneer 6100b scanner to work under W2K? Thanks

Any thoughts on getting older Broderbund games (Arthur, Cat in the Hat etc..) to work under 2000? My kids are going crazy. Broderbund doesn't support the games anymore. I have tried compatibility mode but the game instantly comes up and says no sound card detected. I believe they are DirectX 5 games
