I'm using the CATALYST 3.7 display drivers for XP. Should I be using something else? The "96MB" bugs the heck outta me tho. Hope my v-card ain't actually screwed. It was fine b4 I put in W2k3.

Only thing I did different on my re-install of XP Pro, was have My Computer be set up as a "Standard PC", instead of a "ACPI-PC". (For music production reasons.) It will read DATA and MUSIC CDs but, that's it. I see no problems in DEVICE MANAGER. Any insight would be greaty appreciated.

Man, I'm going to try to get this simple. Keep in mind I'm giving you examples and not the actual IPs and what not. I recently changed NAME SERVERS for 2 websites (exact same settings) on the 20th of August (It's now the 23rd). "heaven.com" seems to be working perfectly. I can view the webpage itself, go to the admin control panel and even check my POP3 account. I admit, sometimes my POP3 flakes out but overall it seems to be coming though okay, I guess. "hell.com" works sporadically on my computer only. I was able to do everything I could do on "heaven.com" but it was working intermittently. Sometimes it takes me back to the old INTERNET PROVIDER account I had the "hell.com" pointing to and sometimes I get the infamous "cannot find server". Instead of using the "hell.com/control_panel" I have to use "123.45.67.890/conrol_panel". Instead of using "hell.com" I have to use "123.45.67.890/~viewme/" to view the webpage. When it tries to check the email it states: Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'HITMEN4HIRE', Server: 'mail.808natives.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F. I've triple checked times 50 :x and all the settings are correct on the webserver. I keep thinking the NAME SERVER must still be resolving but "heaven.com" works pefectly. ;( Any insight would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Bare in mind that everyone else seems to be able to access the webpage for viewing normally. I even had my partners check out their email and even accessing the control_panel regularly and it works fine for them.

If the Disk Analysis reveals a Mean Fragments Per File (fragmentation rating) of 1.2 (badly fragmented) or more, you may be in trouble. Pardon but, I was referring to auto-synchronizing my computer clock. Instead of the preconfigured once a week, I'd like to schedule it more frequently.

See if you can get EASYRECOVERY and recover the files. This little prog is pretty darn nifty. After I retrieved all files, I reformatted the drive and all was good. Wish there was another way tho....

always having to use "REPAIR" to reconnect. i'm lucky if i'm up consistently for 45 minutes. been this way for 3 days now. tried to restore for the hell of it but, restore ain't doint its job by restoring (blahaha). i'd haaaaaaaaate to have to do a clean system re-install just to get it freakin' working again. I was doing some ADMIN cleanup and accidentally deleted the sub folders in ACCESSORIES. *meant to cut and paste from ALL USERS to the MAIN ADMIN folder - never do work when you're mentally exausted. ;( Any way of getting those folders and stuff back (system tools, etc.)? Tried to do the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS for WINDOWS COMPONENTS and got some stuff but SYSTEM TOOLS, for instance, only shows the "character map" icon. YiKeS!!! 8) ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE APPRECIATED! FATFISH : Only option highlighted for me to do anything is to DELETE PARTITION & to CONVERT TO DYNAMIC DISK.. The properties tab is the same properties info from Device Manager [my bad!]. Status for the Secondary Hard Drive is "Healthy (Active)" & the type is "Basic".
