Can you use DVD's, etc on a RAID controller?

I have set up 3 different ABIT ST-6Rs. Before implementing RAID we tried different EIDE devices on different channels. Every combination we set up worked.

icon background now white instead of transparent

M$'s TweakUI has a "Rebuild Icons" option on the "Repair" tab. If your problem is due to a bad uninstall, this will fix it.

    Win2k Login Problem

You said that you have been using TweakUI for quite a while. Did you get the updated version that works with Win 2K? I had a similar log on issue with an older version of TweakUI and Win 2K.

    Linksys drivers for Win2k?

I recently built a new Windows 2K system with the exact Linksys NIC you reference. It turned out that I had to point Windows at the folder labeled Win 2000 rather than the INF file. Then everything worked.

Need a good (FREE) registry cleaner for Win 2K

I use the M$ program "RegClean.exe". The latest version (available from shareware sites but not M$) works great on Win 2K

    ABIT ST6-Raid

I am attempting to build a NT 4.0 system on asystem with the ABIT ST6-Raid Main Board. I get the following message immediately after loading the HighPoit 370 drivers via Floppy Disk. "File \nt\HPT3xxNT.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 1155 in D:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisk.c." Does anyone know what this means?
  8. I just bought this Zoom 2920 Modem. 1) The directions for installing the modem under Windows NT are incorrect. The "Setup.exe" file the directions say to execute does nothing to get the modem installed under Windows NT. A setup file in the PCI directory got the modem working for data -- but slow. 3) The provided voice mail programs, both the "Lite" version and the 30 day demo version keep giving an error message stating that the directory, I want to install the software in, must have a name of less than 8 characters. EVEN WHEN I USED A DIRECTORY NAME OF SIX CHARACTERS!!! The only way I could get the software installed was to allow it to be installed in the root on the partition. With both of the bundled voice mail programs, only the first 1 second of recorded messages is intelligible. Everything beyond the first 1 second is garbled. 4) I purchased a separate voice mail program. One that I have used before, "Super Voice" from Pacific Image Communications, Inc. The outgoing messages sound like the driver transistors are being over loaded and is totally incomprehensible. 5) I have since, tried 11 shareware programs with no useful results. 6) I have down loaded the modem bios and drivers from the Zoom web site -- flashed the modem bios and reinstalled the drivers If anyone has had any success with this modem, running under Windows NT please tell me how.
