  2. Ok, i've recently installed service pack 2 for Windows 2000, and found that it's shared all my drives.. so I turned them off.. now, i'm not on a network, I don't even have a network card in my PC, yet Windows 2000 in it's incredible wisdom, instantly re-shared the drives after a reboot.. so: 1) Why is it sharing my drives? 2) Why does it continue to share my drives even after telling it not to? 3) Has anyone else had this problem? and if so, are there any workarounds? My friend also has the same problem.. Thanks Ozy
  3. I've noticed that with win2k, whenever an application/game crashes - Windows decides to create some huge error log that seems to make my HDD grind for an eternity, slowing my system right down.. is there any way to turn off this "feature"?

  5. Ok, my friend has just installed win2k and while everything is hunky-dory on the desktop, as soon as he goes into Quake 3 - the refresh rate goes to 60hz.. he has a Geforce 1 + Nvidia 6.47 drivers (same happens with latest non-beta drivers). Anyone know how to remedy this?
