    Occasional screen corruption

Doesn't appear to be a font problem or an error report in the boot log. Any other suggestions? As I said it's not a huge problem but it can be quite irritating!

    Occasional screen corruption

Does anyone lese get this? Usually it happens when the screensaver should have started but doesn't. The screen darkens and looks like a shadowy distorted version of itself. A simple start/shutdown/cancel refreshes the screen back to normal but it is irritating. Also, it sometimes happens when the screen changes resolution (like when you start a game). Does anyone have any ideas?

    Windows XP and Voodoo 5500

Cheers! Doesn't sound ideal but I'm glad it will work. Is the performance the equivalent of Windows 2000 (same, better or worse?).

    Windows XP and Voodoo 5500

Does anyone know if the V5500 works under WinXP? I'm really happy with it under Windows 2000 but don't want to upgrade (eventually) to XP and suddenly find it's useless.

    Requiem & DirectX 6!

Sorry I wasn't clear enough in the first note. I can install it fine - the error message comes up when I try and run the game (the message comes up regardless of which of the three possible executable files you use). Any thoughts? ------------------ We must not remind them that giants walk the earth [This message has been edited by Waylander (edited 22 September 2000).]

    Requiem & DirectX 6!

The NTcompatible list says that Requiem runs fin under Windows 2000. However, when I install it on my machine I get an error message saying, "DirectX 6 or later required". As Windows 2000 has DirectX 7.1 I don't understand the problem! Any ideas . . . anyone? ------------------ We must not remind them that giants walk the earth

    NT(in)Compatible Games List...

My system is a W2K/Athlon800/Voodoo5500/SBLive Force Commander works fine (No special tweaking - I just installed it and it runs fine) I have the same problem with Die By the Sword! It refuses to work on a non-WIN9x machine and the compatibility program on the W2K CD doesn't fool it! ------------------ We must not remind them that giants walk the earth
