Help! Looking for multi-p racing game for NT 4?

Yep, your right. The demo needs the (Win9X) version of RASAPI32.DLL. No, you can't take the Win9X .DLL and put it into NT, I tried that. I tested the *real retail version* of GPL on the famous P90/64MB/MilleniumII. That version works... /Krister

Help! Looking for multi-p racing game for NT 4?

Grand Prix Legends works with NT4, in software rendering mode. It has multiplayer capabilities too... Tried it on my 2nd test machine P90/64MB/NT4SP6, and it actually worked. /Krister

Hmm, what kind of graphics card do you have? And you've tried the "default" card setting? /Krister

    Need For Speed 3

Hmmm, what about GPL, in software rendering mode, a great racing game. That works with NT4. Just tried it on my second development machine. A whopping Pentium 90 with 64 MB and a Matrox Mill II running NT4 Server SP6a. The framerate is, hmmm, *low* on that machine, but it works. Has multiplayer mode too. NICE ! /Krister

    Need For Speed 3

Hello NeedForSpeeder! I would let go of NT4 and install Win2000 instead. I think that the DirectX-On-NT was never intended to be used as a way to get DirectX onto NT. Tried it for ages ago, but I never got any cool games to work on it... Think about it; DirectX needs support from the graphic card drivers, sound card drivers and maybe joystick drivers. Since NT drivers must only support DirectX 3 (am I correct here?), DirecX 5 means that your're on your own. With Windows 2000 you get the latest versions of all drivers to your new hardware. Hope I've enlightened you... /Krister

Hmm.... I'm very sorry to hear that your Internet Explorer fucked up... What I don't understand is: 1. Is the machine still broken or what? 2. You are running W2K SP1 with IE55 right? Seen more IE crashes with SP1&IE55 than the "original". Dunno why really... The patch program isn't written in C. How did you guessed that anyway? It's actually written in Delphi 5. BTW, you are a lucky bastard ;-) Actually saw an Impreza on the way to work today! I just love that engine-sound! /Krister
