    Win98 and IIS

Hello: Is anyone familiar with Win98 and IIS. Is it possible to install IIS on a Win98 machine. I would like to test some ASP's. Does PWS handle ASPs? (i doubt it)... Thanks!
  2. Hello, Not exactly sure what you want to do. But you can change the default size that IE opens up by: 1. Open IE and maximize it. 2. Hold down CTRL and go to File > Close The next time you open explorer, it should be maximized. This works for most MS apps i believe.

    Cable Modem and www

Hello: I am running Wink2 Advanced Server and IIS. My internet connection is @home (cable modem). In order to administer my ISP account information, I am supposed to input "www" in my browser, which bring me to @home's admin page. However, when I input "www" in my browser, it opens up a "template-style" local page which has my Domain name etc. Is this an IIS setting? Does anyone know how to fix it so i can type www and get back to @home's admin page? Thanks. Mister

Also can't use ICQ chat, file transfer, and MS Messenger PC to PC calls. My computer, running Win2k Professional, if a client of my Win2k Advance Server network. Using ICS for internet sharing and the associated IP addresses. Using a cable modem. I suspect this problem has to do with Firewall settings etc., however, I am not using firewall software on my server right now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Mister

  15. Hello, my apologies if this topic has been covered before. I am trying to connect a Win95 machine to a Win98SE machine to share an @home internet connection. All 3 NICs appear to be installed properly and working fine. However, in the Network connection properties, there is a TCP/IP item called TCP/IP (Internet Connection Sharing). How do i configure this? Can I use the IP addresses 192.168.0.1 etc. like Win2k? Or do i have to do something different? I am familiar with Win2k but have not built a home Win98SE network before. Thanks in advance for your assistance!
