I have tried all kinds of drivers, sw and hw tweaks...nothing worked I'm getting my old AWE64 back this weekend...finally I can listen to music without the usual distortion EAX sucks anyway

"Windows Update has determined that the driver you are trying to download is less appropriate for your device than your current driver." I'm so sick and tired of this! Why does Windows Update get to choose which drivers I should install and not I? I've also tried to remove the creative crap drivers by hand and then installing the new but then I got "Unknown error" instead I'm going to buy back my old ISA AWE64...it never crackled once...

Let us know if you find something I have this problem too Geforce DDR with probably every detonator version I've had installed (currently 12.00)

This is fun reading :-) Reinstall once a month for optimal performance....yeah sure... My linux system is more stable than win2000, takes less time to boot than win98, no fragmentation and you never have to reinstall to keep the performance. I'm no linux zealot though...I know that windows is superior in many areas, it's just that moments like this reminds me why I also use linux.
