I have been trying to get my scsi card to work for three days and I need help. Here's what I can tell you: It is a adaptec 2940U pci (bios 1.23S3). I am trying to get my onstream sc30e to work with it. Everytime I try to install the onstream drivers, the system reboots itself. If I install the drivers in safe mode, it installs fine, but when I try to use the drive in normal mode, I get an blue screen with Non-page fault. I know the tape drive works because I was using an usb-scsi adapter to test it. Don't know if it is a problem with the scsi card or something I am doing wrong. Someone help me!!!!

I was wondering if anyone else in the forums have a onstream tape drive and are using the echo software properly. Whenever I install the software, i get massive blue screens. Wondering if anyone else got those?

Okay....I have installed wmp 7.1 and nero could burn wma. Then I rebooted my system and now it's not working again. Tried reinstalling wmp and nero still doesn't work. Someone help me!!!

I was wondering if anyone here has been using nero drive speed and knows how good it is at reducing the max. speed.

Yeah, I have X-setup, but it doesn't have this feature. I like it cuz, it doesn't stay in the registry and I'm trying to figure the best way to stabilize my machine.

I have Nero and can't burn wma files. It gives me so type of error(forgot to write it down). Anyway I went to Nero helptool website and it said it had to download the codec. I was wondering if anyone knew where this codec was.

I don't like to use tweakui, but I like the feature where you can decide which to make the first item, my computer or my documents. Does anyone know how to do this within the registry.

Have you heard of a virtual cd called daemon tools. The program is perfect and it works in win2k. It can make a virtual drive of isos, bins, clonecd images, and blindwrite images.

Do You really need SP1. If you don't, then don't install it. I kinda had the same problem with my western digitals, my comp would just stop during heavy usage. Did you try safe mode, and trying to uninstall it from there. If you have, I don't know what else to do, but reinstall

I already used the dldiag on both drives(extended test) and they both passed. I had the latest bios when the problems started. I said "*&^& it" and reinstalled 2k and installed the beta drivers. So far, they're haven't been any problems. Don't know what the event id's were, but thank you for the articles.
