    Sb Live! - Driver

@Jerry Atrik it often happens in games in "explosion-sounds" @DosFreak I know there are problems with SB Live! and VIA chipsets, but I haven't a mainboard with VIA chipset... Older drivers work without problems, only the new are so bad I mean, the sound is very fine but this cracking noise is terrible...

    WinOnCD 3.7 and Win2k SP2

I have Win2k, WinOnCD 3.7 Power Edition (Version: 3.70.572-2) and a Traxdata CDRW2260+ (ATAPI). Before I installed the Service Pack 2 and Windows MediaPlayer 7.1, WinOnCD works fine. Now after installing these Components, WinOnCD doesn't find my Traxdata-CD-drive So i can't burn CD's Wenn i install the original Version of WinOnCD 3.7 (version 3.70.548 (without the patch from www.roxio.com)) WinOnCD finds my Traxdata-Drive... Why? And how can i get WinOnCD 3.70.572-2 work under win2k sp2???? THX NT.gamer

    Good TV card for win2k?!

Hello! I want to buy a new tv-card for Windows 2000. Now my question: What's the "best" tv-card (driver-support, quality) for Windows 2000. I think the PINNACLE Studio PCTV PRO and the Hauppauge WinTV PCI FM are good products, but whats the best?

    The best Defrag-Program?!

What do you think is the best Defrag-Program for Win2K? Is it the implemented Diskkeeper (in Win2K), SpeedDisk (Part of Norton Utilities 2001), the "original" Diskkeeper or an other program? What do you use? I think SpeedDisk from Symantec is a fine Defrag-Program, but the implemented Diskkeeper is also a good prog (only very simple)...

    Windows2000 and ACPI

Is there any way to install Windows 2000 in ACPI-Mode? Windows 2000 thinks my mainboard (Biostar M6TLG) isn't acpi-compatible, but in Win98SE this mainboard supports ACPI. So I ask you: How can I install Windows 2000 with ACPI-Support???

    Windows2000 and ACPI

I have the newest bios... (TLG0514B), and on boot-up i can see an acpi-controller which get the irq 9 from the bios.... So I think this mainboard supports ACPI, but (for example) i can't activate it in the power management option in the bios....

    Hibernate? where did it go?

For Hibernate you don't need any WDM-drivers or ACPI-Win2K But in the book: Windows 2000 Professional - Die technische Referenz MS write that there is no Hibernate-support on dual-mainboards.... Or better: In a Windows 2000 Pro on a dual-processor system.....
