Is 8 or 10 seconds with an os that doesnt need frequent rebooting a big deal? I'm not sure it is. You can disable audiohq and the luancher from loading at startup maybe that will help. Also forget about monitering for live updates. Anyway, presonaly I like liveware and I havent noticed any slowdown anyway.

ME is for kids 2K is for grown ups But seriosly if your into gamming and you can dual boot than thats the way to go. Some games run better on one and some run better on the other. If you got both then you know that you can get the best possible performance piriod. We all know Linux or mac os is'nt the answer.

I too have the same problems loading VTMR but found running the setup.exe instead of the autorun gets around it. Its not perfect becouse after the install it trys to install a second time then once you quit that the music keeps playing and you need to reset the machine to shut it down but after that its ok. Its kind of a pain but I must say it runs much better for me on 2k then 98 or me. I'm using the 5.30 dets at 12x10x32 w/fsaa and it looks great, deffinatly worth the hassle of the install.
