    How do I reinitialise a device ?

Thanks for your comments I am not competent enough to edit memory space or hash tables (at least at this point in time). Looks like a reboot is the only solution for me for the time being.
  2. I have a tape drive that I use for backups and occasionally it fails for various reasons. I kill the process but the device (/dev/st0) is still showing up as busy (mt status). The only way I have been able to get it back up and running is by rebooting the server. Is there a way to reinitialise the device so that a reboot is not required? Thanks in advance.

    W2k and CDU-926S

http://contamination.org/windows2000/ Try this page, there is a Sony CDU-926s file which replace cdrom.inf in system32 directory. This has allowed me to read cd's but not record. One step closer anyway.

I also have been unable to get my Sony CDU926s SCSI CD-Burner to work under win2k. My SCSI card is working fine as I also run a SCSI Zip drive off it. It use to run nicely under win98! Any help is appreciated
