    Windows XP BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I know this dosn't help or anything. But I get that that exact same BSOD; only its at the point where my computer is supposed to shutdown, never encountered it while using my computer. It causes no real problem other than the fact I have to manually hit the power button to turn off the computer.

    Winxp + Nero = No Cd-rom

You were luckier than I was. Uninstalling Nero did nothing to bring my CD drives back to life. I was forced to do a complete wipe and reinstall. It was a pain ***, and because of it I'll never use Nero again. In the end it was worth it, I ended up buying a phat 100GB drive; might as well go all out P3 1Ghz 512MB Ram VisionTek Geforce 3 (220 core, 500 mem) WD 100GB Hd Maxtor 60GB Hd NEC DVD Aopen 12x10x32 SB!Live ATI TV Wonder VE

    Nero Killed my CD drives

How exactly to you reinstall DMA driver? I've tried to no avail uninstalling both cd devices from the tree; even went as far removing both ide channels from the device tree. Sure, windows re-detected them, but the same problem was there afterward. Nero somehow screwed the registry, if only I knew which keys.

    Nero Killed my CD drives

Same thing happened to my machine; (Code 19) on both my CD devices. At first I attributed it to windows being windows, look at it wrong and it crashes. But when doing a forumn search, I stumbled on this thread; and it describes my problem exactly. There has got to be an explanation, my Secondary IDE Channel shows 'Multi-word DMA Mode 2' like it should. I don't relish the idea of having to wipe everything and reinstall just to get my cd drives back. As much as I want to blame MS, I think Nero is the culprit.

    WinXP Beta 2 2462 & 3dmark2001 no go

Just a quick update for those who are afflicted by the Detonator driver bug that causes your computer to reset when attempting to play videos in media player. I've successfully used the nv4_disp.dll from 7.59 in the 11.01 Detonator package. Upon rebooting as you do with any new driver update, I was greated a nasty BSOD stop error. Discouraged, I rebooted into safe mode; went into device manager and deleted the my display adapter and rebooted normally. Suprisingly, I was greeted with a logon screen. Even better, I looked at my display properties and confirmed I was using 7.59 for my display driver and 11.01 for everything else. Now I can play my videos and have my Direct3D too. So far I haven't encountered any ill effects other than initially getting it going.

    WinXP Beta 2 2462 & 3dmark2001 no go

Just something I thought I'd share, which I thought was odd. Using the 11.01 Detonaters with RealPlayer 8 (with the proper plugins) will play MPEGS, and it actually will play them to completion and then BSOD at the end.

    WinXP Beta 2 2462 & 3dmark2001 no go

I'm able to run 3DMark 2001 just fine with 2462 and the leaked Detonator 11.01 drivers. Before any drivers; 6.50 official too the leaked 10.80 detontators caused extreme weirdness in Direct3D. The only thing is; 11.01 drivers fixe Direct3D, but anytime I try to play an AVI or MPEG it causes a BSOF stop error. I can't win. PIII 600 Seatle-440BX2 Geforce 2 MX 256MB RAM
  8. Wondering what other peoples experiences have been. I'm using Whistler release 2462 with a Geforce 2 MX. With the official 6.50 Nvidia drivers, video (MPEGs, AVIs, ASFs) plays fine.. but Direct3D is screwed up horribly as evident while running 3DMark 2001. However with leaked 11.01 Detonators, Direct3D is flawless, and videos cause an instant BSOD stop error. Anyone else eXPerience this?!

    2428 & 3Dfx Voodoo 2 1000

Ooops, my bad. I downloaded the 1.02.00 drivers from 3dfx.com's site dated Jan 27th 2000. Updated the driver, installed like a charm, rebooted and was able to run UT in glide. Hope others are able to get it working.

    2428 & 3Dfx Voodoo 2 1000

I have the same problem. Whistler 2428 refuses to install the V2 drivers (W2K 1.02.00 release) at all. Which is a shame, I enjoy running UT in glide. System: PIII 600, 128M ram, Whistler 2428 Geforce 2 MX (Detonator 6.50) SB!Live Basic

    Device Manager Code 31?

Thats definatly not the problem. Although I will double check. This is not a new computer, I've had this system running for more 6 months on Windows 98, and 4 months with W2K with no hitch (right now my system is dualboot; 98 on C, W2K on D). This whole problem started after installing SP1. There is no resonable explanation why it would just stop working all of a sudden. Damn I hate MS! Does anyone else have some suggesions?

    Device Manager Code 31?

Recently I've installed W2K service pack 1 on my machine. Now both the DVD and CDRW are inaccessable, and show an yellow exlamation point in the device manager (Code 31). The DVD and CDRW are on the second IDE channel; master & slave respectively. Hardware troubleshooter was absolutely no help, and MS's online knowledgebase procedures didn't help at all either. "Just for fun" I re-installed a clean copy of W2K and then SP1, and still the problem persists! Help, I don't want to go back to W98!! I'd appreciate anyone who could help. SOF and 5.22 Do you get it to run ?

Yeah WTF? SOF ran just fine with the leaked version of the 5.22 W2K drivers. Now I get: GLimp_EndFrame()-SwapBUffers() failed! on startup. This REALLLY pisses me off.
