  1. Looks like even these guys beleived MS statement that Windows 2000 is for business and not for games, windows 2000 users don't need games..blah blah blah. Now, VGS messagebox shows "This program only runs under Windows 95/98/ME". What happened to Windows 2000 support? IF Windows 2000 has Directx 7 built in support, why won't connetix try to make some fixes and make it run under 2000? Is it because if they do it, they will have to lower their antipiracy VGS system?

    where has "msconfig" gone?

TITANIC was a tribute to those who died in that ship in 1912. I beleive it's a great movie, because of the music, the way the story is told, the customes, the photography, and the GREAT ROLE Kate Winslet plays, much better than Di-caprio crap Matrix can be considered sci-fi, mainly because we don't happen to have superpowers like Keanu Reaves, we don't happen MATRIX like supercomputers, and futuristic stuff. So, nobody like matrix & titanic...anyone likes Dr Strangelove, at least?

    where has "msconfig" gone?

Quote: You don't like the greatest movie of all time, shame on you! The greatest movie of all time is TITANIC. (And the best sci-fi movie would be Matrix, I presume).

I just wanted to point out that WHISTLER will be based in NT, so spect more questions like "where has msconfig gone" soon. Also, bladerunner (I hate that movie), this is a technical support forum, so, If you don't like answering questions like this, then...ignore this post:rolleyest. Merry christmas, happy new year, and new millenium (because IT STARTS in 2001, and not 2000 like many people beleived in 1999 ).

    Freezing in Win2k?

Your system is not overclocked, is it? Windows 2000 is more sensitive to "forced" CPU's. Another cause could be your memory. Make sure your bios settings are fine, and you are not forcing your RAM to work at a too short delay.

Does a Radeon Work with ALi Socket 7 chipset?

Unlikely. Ali chipset isn't a very good one. You may have read a lot of post about "my TNT/geoforce doesn't work under win2k with ali chipset and p5a". In my system, I use a riva tnt with the lastest agp driver, and settting EXTERNAL CACHE in my bios to disabled. This stops randm crashes. But why would you install a RADEON in a P5A? You wouln't get such a speed increase. Maybe 10-20 FTS, but not more. When using a 3dcard, the CPU is also important. If your CPU can't send enough fill commmands to your 3d-Card, you'll be wasting your money. So, why not waiting, upgrading to a better CPU, and then, buy a radeon? PS: An AGP 4X card in an AGP 2x MOBO? Why??

Like your, I want high speed internet...I want cable (but the fuc..... cable provider is VERY slow putting cable everywhere, so until 2003 I won't be able to connect to a higher speed than 56k (and don't mention ISDN, it's flat rate is very expensive (100 Euro/Month) !!!!! PS: Day of the tentacle rulez!!!

I don't mean to piss everyone off..........

i is an imaginary number. "Imaginary numbers", also known as "complex numbers"are those who have a real part, and a imaginary one. So, given a number like this: 4+ i9 Will mean that the real part is 4, and the imaginary will be 9. Imaginary numbers can be represented in polar and cartesian forms. so, if 4+ i9 is a Z imaginary number, then Z=|Z|·cos(argument)i+isin(argument), where the argument is (angle+2·pi·n)). We could see them as a kind of vectors (R,i) the cosinus would be the real part, and the sinus would be the imaginary part. The module, which is the hipotenusa, is sqrt(x^2+y^2). Imaginary numbers are usefull in areas like mathemathics, and electronics, where they are a nice tool to solve sinosuidal circuits. I may have made a mistake in my explanation, , because I still have problems at mathematics, but more or less, this is a short explanation about imaginary numbers. no d3d acceleration

Just uninstall your drivers via control panel (Add remove programs applet). Reboot twice, and then, reinstall them. This should fix your problems.
