    3Dfx Windows XP Petition

When NVIDIA purchased 3dfx's IP, the 3dfx cards currently on the market were to be supported by 3dfx. This was stated at the time of the purchase. Support (in whatever form, or lack thereof) was at the descretion of 3dfx. In addition, NVIDIA did not acquire 3dfx (the company), they only acquired their IP. Again, support was a 3dfx issue.
  2. Try going to Add/Remove Hardware in the Control Panel. Choose to "Uninstall/Unplug a device", then choose "Uninstall a device". A list of devices should now appear, you may have to check the "Show hidden devices" box to make sure your old LAN cards show up. After that just select the one you want and press "Next". To remove more than one device you'll have to go through this more than once. Hope this helps.
  3. There is new firmware posted at http://www.actiontec.com/support/modems/cwi.html I haven't tried it yet, but it may help. The current flasher is not compatible with Windows 2000 so you will have to flash it under Win 9x, or wait until the release a new version.
