    Anyone happen to be running this beta on RC-1? Would be interensted to hear how it works. I've downloaded it but havnt installed it yet because things are running way smooth and I dont want to F it up!

    I dont think sending Microsoft a error report from a fixed install would be a good idea. But thats just me I have no b@lls frown

    If you want to help with progress get into the preveiw program its only $10 to download it. Not a bad deal laugh

    Ive noticed this problem with the newer builds of XP on my P1100. Xp isn't letting the drivers install because they are incompatible. But this wasnt a problem in the other builds XP would let you "continue anyway". If anyone knows a work-around give a yell. Had to revert from 2505 to 2495 BAD frown

    I have mine fixed as well, thats why I asked. I rolled my bios forward to 2002 and XP works fine. (hopefully RC1 will be out before then laugh ) BladeRunner: Ive only come across The Register maybe twice in the last two years. They didnt impress me much so I just usually stick to Pual Thurrott's site and this one here. Oh and every so often see whats shakin at WinBeta.

    Hey,

    Does anyone know about the problems with the XP preveiw build expiring after two weeks instead of 180 days? I've heard about this from a number of people and was wondering if anyone here has run into this. Just wondering because it is even happening to the people who go through the activation process. HMMM?

    I wish this happened months ago. I have hardly posted on this forum for the last couple of months because I became so tired of jdulmage and his crap. "Give and give respect, get flamed" was what he used to say. What an idiot. I never got flamed on this board by anybody but him. That jerk is gone, lets get on with things. I'm so excited!!     I couldn't' agree more, when I first joined this board it was the best around. I don't think there was any question I had that wasn't answered. Then JD just seemed to get out of hand and it seems that the reputation of this board went right with him. I know a few people that use to visit regularly, stopped all together. Me I would check back every so often to see that it was getting worse and JD was behind a very high percent of it. I think this was a long time coming and now this site can get back the respect that it had and still deserves to have. Just my 2 cents. laughlaugh

    Brian I got bit by the Me thing too. Ran Me from Beta two until the last rc. They were all great until the last release canidate. Well silly me ran out and bought it once it hit the shelve figuring that Microsoft surely would have worked out the bugs before releasing it. Boy, was I wrong. So although XP is looking really strong Im more than a little gun-shy. Add the security features and 8)
