    C & C Gold/WIN95 and W2K ?

Since Red Alert now works after SP2, I was wondering if anyone got C&C Gold to run. It installs OK, but just will not run in WIN95 Compatibility Mode. Thanks in advance.

    New MS Compatibility patch....

It totally porked my Half-Life. I can't run in any mode PERIOD. It tells me that my device does not support the resolution, even in Software at 640x480. I re-installed Half-Life and the 3dfx drivers all to no avail. WTF is up with Microsoft????????
  3. I know, but if ANY change is made (Program installed, LINK added) it screws up the whole works. I'm looking for a permanent and automatic solution for this lazy guy (me). [This message has been edited by td911 (edited 19 April 2000).]
  4. This bothers the hell out of me. My PROGRAMS menu and FAVORITES continually need to be sorted manually. Does anyone have any idea how to automaticaly perform this? I used the following procedure on Win98, don't think it will work on 2K, but who knows? I'm to gutless to try it. Maintain Order in the Start Menu Are you tired of having to reorganize the shortcuts on your Start Menu and its submenus constantly so that they appear in alphabetical order? If so, you'll be happy to know you can force Windows to sort these menus automatically every time you turn on your computer. First, create a setup information file with the following information: [Version] Signature="$chicago$" [DefaultInstall] DelReg=DelRegKey [DelRegKey] hkcu,"Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder" Name the file Sortmenu.inf and save it in the Inf folder (usually C:\Windows\Inf). Create a Registration Entries file with the text shown in Figure 1. If your Windows folder is different, you'll need to adjust the text to reflect this difference. Name the file Sortmenu.reg. Finally, double-click the REG file to merge its data into the Registry. From now on, every time you start Windows, the Registry key that stores information on the order of your Start Menu shortcuts will be deleted. This deletion forces Windows to sort the Start Menu alphabetically. And there's a bonus: When you open Internet Explorer, you'll find that the Favorites menu is alphabetized as well. Thanks in advance.

Mobil 1 Rally and MS Sidwinder Gamepad Problems

I just installed it and away I went. I didn't need the patch to run the game. At least as far as going into the menus and playing the ARCADE mode. The patch is located at http://www.3dfiles.com/patches/rallychampionship2000.shtml Just download and run it. Good Luck. P.S. you can also try here for a lot of problems. Forget EA, they're clueless. http://forums.simracingnews.com/cgi-bin/...&LastLogin= [This message has been edited by td911 (edited 13 April 2000).]
  6. I'm running Rally Championship (U.S.) with the latest patch. My problem is my controller (MS Sidewinder Gamepad) only works in the ARCADE mode. If I go to a rally, my controller does not work, heck even my keyboard doesn't work (ESC is not recognized). I need at ALT-TAB out and back in to get my controller working. However, this is pointless since my graphics are now corrupted. It's driving (no pun intended) me insane. This is the only game I'm having a problem with. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. My system: Celeron 400 (O'c 450) 128 MB Ram Windows 2000 w/all patches Voodoo 3 3000 AGP Diamond MX300 w/latest Drivers MS Sidewinder Gamepad Thanks in advance.
