    Ultimate Slipstream Guide (almost)

DosFreak, awesome guide I have a win2k pro upgrade cd and tried to slipstream SP3 into it following your guide but after i made the cd my cdroms will not read nor boot the cd? Thus the question will slipstreaming work with the upgrade version of win2k? or do i need the full win2k pro cdrom? Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.Thanks.

Win2k install FREEZES on blue setup screen!

I think this is related to ACPI.If the win2k setup doesn't detect that your BIOS is ACPI it will hang at the setup screen, try setting your BIOS to APM or disable ACPI mode and rerun the setup again. If you are sure that your BIOS is ACPI compatible do this, run the setup as soon as you see PRESS F6....message try pressing F5 and then you can choose which power management option you want win2k to install.Hope this helps.Let us know.

    Hard freeze with win2000

I would get the hard freeze also and i found that it was related to video drivers.I'd run my desktop in 32-bits and that was the cause. I'm using 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 agp card.Once i set my desktop to 16-bits everything seems to be fine now.Hope this helps. [This message has been edited by PLBlaze (edited 14 April 2000).]
