  1. Update your video card drivers. How in the F*CK does anyone call this OS stable? Everything but 2D support goes to **** whenever (perhaps randomly would be a better word) you update video card drivers. What bull****.

I don't mean to piss everyone off..........

Perhaps I can offer a solution. DUAL BOOT! I use it and Win98 and everything works great. If something doesn't work, I boot to 98.

Just to let you guys know

What the hell are headphones? Sounds to me like a piece of crap to make your sound less immersive. Only a Dolby Digital receiver for me girls, on a RCA digital out.

    Ditched Win2k

Well, I've come to the conclusion that Windows 2000 just isn't worth a damn. At least not if your primary concern is playing games or developing audio. There are just too many performance drawbacks. The only purpose win2k serves in my opinion is (shoddy) openGL development, business word processing, and server use/applications. Pretty sad for an OS that costs $250, and more for Server.

    Forgot my password problem

I forgot the password to my original user name, and when I click the link Forgot your password, it tells me that the feature is not available as per MY administrators request. What the hell is this?
  6. A few things that bug me which make the Win2k experience seem a little weak: 1. How can I manually set the cache limit. I mean in an EXACT size though. Not the large system cache on or off thing. This is probably not possible, but it would be nice. 2. Refresh Rate support: MS should give us real options for setting this. Though I've solved it by hacking my inf. 3. Weak CD-Rom performance. How can I specify CD-Rom cache sizes, if possible. My CD-Rom runs a whole lot slower in Win2k than in Win98. Feel free to add to this list guys.
