    Confusing hard disk-NT installation problem

You may need to do a low level format of the hdd. Take a look at IBM Storage Web Page and "play" with DFT downloadable form http://ssdweb01.storage.ibm.com/techsup/hddtech/welcome.htm

    HP Scanjet 3300C

I'm having the same problem. Win2K picks the scanner up as a Umax 1220P. using this drive has no effect. Has anyone else had this problem OR know of a workaround. Thx.

    W2K installation problems....

The Windows 2000 CD is bootable. Why not use it ?? OR You could boot off a Win95/Win98 boot disk and run the "x:\i386\winnt.exe /makelocalsource" where 'x' is your cd rom drive letter. let me know if this works.

Also there are a lots of places in SYQUEST.INF refer to SHARSHTL.SYS, do I need to comment them all out? Any help to get my SPARQ working is appreciated. Thx. I have managed to get a Sparq PP Drive working under Win2k. But only doing an upgrage. From Win95/98 or NT 4.0. I could not get the drive to work after a clean install of Win2k onto a blank hdd.

    CDR software in win2k?

This computer has a SCSI CDR drive that's worked great under NT4 Server, but EZ CD Creator won't install under 2000. Does anyone know a fix for this? (please don't tell me to get X CDR software or X is better unless it's freeware, EZ CD Creator is what my company paid for, so it's what i've gotta use) thanks! Jeremy Dennis Take a look Nero. http://www.ahead.de
