Hi I want to make a dual boot here, but i was wondering how i'll do it here... I have a 40gb (C with Win XP on it. (NTFS) The second HD i want to install Windows 98 (FAT32) WinXP is already installed. If I boot and try to install win98 in drive D: will it work fine? I mean... WinXP will find this other SO in its boot menu? And WIN98 will work fine too? thx in advance

and I will be able to boot normaly (disk boot) and acess my hd like I can do with older Win9x boot disks and copy/move files?

Hi I just wanted to know if its better to use NTFS or FAT32 with a 40GB HD. What do you say? Also it is ATA100, do I have to change something to make it work ATA100 or Windows knows it?? -> Last time I installed a HD with NTFS i got a real problem... I installed the Easy CD Creator 4 in Win2k and it got f*cked up all the way. So I couldn't BOOT anymore to use the HD to make some backups When I managed to boot I couldn't enter any directories and/or move any files. With the 'new' microsoft XP BOOT disk, I AM able to change/move/look/write stuff in my HD? even from a 'dos prompt' ? Will I be able to boot with ms disks for XP, copy my files to the other FAT32 HD with no problems? Thanks in advance!!

damn i fixed it well 1st drivers from creative had this problem... then they released a "Revision 2" drivers.. ok, I went there and didnt find a thing about that drivers No revision 1 and/or 2. Just a 'new driver' it seems... anyway... those 'new ones' fixed the bug (and yes a mailed them hehe)

Hi Just wanted to know how to fix a few problems with my SBLIVE! Value using Windows XP. Keep in mind that I did all the updates found in windowsupdates.com (done yesterday) and I already tryed to reinstall SBLIVE software. Problems are: 1. When Windows boots it always starts with 2 Speakers only. In Audio Settings found in Control Panel and in AUDIOHQ (from creative) both show me 4 speakers, but no sound at all on rear speakers. If I reselect 4 speakers (in AUDIOHQ or in control panel) the sound works OK... Is there a way to FIX this issue? 'cause it shouldn't be like this. (Win98 works FINE). 2. When changing presets, adjusting volume, checking and unchecking the buttons in AudioHQ I hear lousy 'pops' in speakers. It's a strange sound... like a scratch or something. How do I fix it? -> Using Creative FPS2000 speakers (not using Digital DIN). Thanks in advance

They should 1st fix the bugs and incompatibility issues with their drivers (creative should do the same with Live! cards) And then try to boost performace... =\ my opinion

I have a PNY GeForce 3 with XP (2600) using drivers 21.83 Yesterday I downloaded the 23.11 new detonators to see if I would get a little performace boost... but when I reboot Windows (after installing the drivers) it gives me no image AT ALL Just an ugly black screen When I reinstall 21.83 in safe mode things work fine again Using: P3 850Mhz 256mb RAM (PNY - 133mhz) Mobo: Asus p3v4x (via) Any sugestions? could it be a problem with nvmax or something? I tryed uninstalling the old drivers 1st.. and then the new ones... but no good... help!! 8) 8) Thanks in advance

Any problems and/or incompatibility problems with my PC components? 2. I know that VIA chipset need a patch, wich comes with SP2 if i download the BETA right? 3. Wich video driver is best? 7.xx or 6.xx or Creative 6.34 fasttrax for Win2k? 4. I have a 26gb hd, if i install Win2k in partition "D", levaing "C" for winme, win2k will create and use "Program Files" in partition "D" without touching "C"? And most important of all 5. Can you tell me what services I can disable to make it faster? I only use this machine for GAMES (lots)n MUSIC (mp3) and Internet (using Dial-Up Networking). THANKS in advance bye. Yes Fox, I unplugged but it didn't worked... Strage... we got almost the same speakers... Plugged or unplugged the sound wont come out... I thing I'll have to wait for drivers from Creative... but... they're really slow... I'm sure that they are testing a BETA driver for Sblive, because Microsoft should have sent them the OEM version of Win2k (final with expiration) Thanks anyway

FPS 2000 has only 4 speakers and a subwoofer, the controls are only volume, and bass in the subwoofer... I tried all the settings in windows for the speakers (2 speakers, 4 speakers ...), also i putted the sound quality at BEST in the settings... Nothing has changed, the only thing I didn't try was changing the speakers setup and restart the computer.. one by one Any more ideas? THANKS

I got Win2k 2195 (final) + Voodoo 2 + Flight Simulator 2000, but FS 2000 cant detect my Voodoo 2... can someone help me? Also... I got a SBLIVE with Cambridge Soundworks 2000 but the rear speakers are mute... can anyone help me? THANK U ALL
