    ATI Rage IIc??

Sorry, but the IIc has been around for ages. AFAIK, ATI have no plans to further develop the IIc (with the rage 128 doing well) in w2k, but I've seen openGL on the IIc so I suggest you buy something else if you want to do anything serious...

    Win2K Liveware is EVIL!

LW2k runs like a charm in all games with *only* (as you put it) 128MB. EAX is fine. No stuttering. Everything works. I forgot to uninstall the old drivers too, the install seemed to take care of that. I think you should be looking at what the real cause of the problems could be...
  3. I dunno if anyone's gone over this problem before, and I've read about the ACPI thing, but seeing as you guyz have it on your own HCL I figure somebody must know how to get the AOpen AX59Pro to work under w2k (final build, all updates). I've tried instaling with ACPI enabled, ACPI disbaled, ACPI and APM disabled. The last time (ACPI and APM diabled) it lasted for a few days before it started resetting itself (no BSOD) frequently. Before that, a lovely IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL one popped up about 1 to 5 minutes into use. Hardware: AOpen AX59Pro, latest BIOS 64MB PC100 AMB K6/2 350 3Dfx Voodoo3 2000 PCI, latest w2k drivers WinTV PCI (same as WinCast in US), latest drivers tested with build 2195 AVM FritzPCI ISDN card (works fine w/built in drivers) IntelliMouse w/IntelliEye AFAIK everything but the board is on the MS w2k HCL HELP!!!

    looking for bt848a driver ?

Same as the WinTV PCI? Drivers at http://www.hauppauge.com/html/sw_wcst.htm#beta work fine with build 2195 and a dodgy PC

    Via Boards + Win2k impossible ?

Spent a bloody age geting it to work, but I got a PC with an AOpen AX59 Pro board (VIA MVP3 based, not on the W2k HCL) to work by making sure ACPI function was disabled before you even install w2k. It *must* be disabled before the instal otherwise w2k assumes that the BIOS is ACPI compliant because it is fairly new, but it isn't. It seems most non-Intel based boards have shady BIOS's, so check this and re-instal, and all should work out okay, it did on this and a few other VIA boards I've worked with. Good luck :-)
