i got win2k build 2151 on my dual celeron 433.. but installing the new tnt2 drivers(3.56) no game except earth2150 works for me. old drivers work perfect.. my question would be if this changes on rc3 or if the problems remain... also i can't get quake 3(1.09) smp to work.. neither with 3.52 or 3.56 drivers, just hangs on starting with r_smp1... in quake3 i experience screen hangs..it's like a screenshot but around my playerface i can see the game running in a square.. pressing the scores key brings up the whole screen again...i don't have that on win98 but perhaps it is cause i only got 64mb of ram and it happens less often after playing some time( i experienced the same on 1.08 but not that often) thx

i just installed the new drivers but i had no success in getting q3 to run with smp on win2k .... it didn't even start on single cpu, hangs on loading the map or when starting the game with a white screen.. with smp it is same as on the drivers before, it hangs on the main menu playing same sound again and again let's hope the final demo gets ou soon

I got the same problem... q3 just hangs when loading the map or sometimes crashes on the white screen .. i hoped these would support smp .. but

so let's hope idsoftware fixes this "bug" in the next test version (if there is one except the final)

i've studied this forum now and can't come to a condlusion.. does r_smp 1 for quake work in any combination with win2k or not... some say it would have worked with tnt2 ultra -->then it has to be a driver problem!! which driver works for a tnt2?? with smp?? or does quake3 just not work with win2k smp??

no sorry.. i can't get it to you.. a friend gave it to me(he's got cable) i'm only on ISDN would take a looooot of time ... if the post that said he would have had smp with q3 and win2k running was right the solution would be to get an older tnt2 win2k driver?.. ne1 knows where i can get one?..already tried nvidia etc.. thx

well what i was saying is that the dual cpus still doen't work under quake3. (no matter if it is a driver or a OS problem) i will install nt4 drivers to see what happens

just installed win2k pro build 2151.. r_smp 1 doesn't work too... if you got a solution lemme know... thx
