    plz....Dungeon Keeper 2 don't run on w2000

No, boycott means nothing... we have to bombard them with letters... i am thinking we should talk to the webmaster of ntcompatible about making some sort of automated process to bombard companies that refuse to support win2k with e-mails

    Win2K+G400+smp=

i had this problem and found a simple solution. Game: system shock 2 video: tnt2 solution: I set processor affinity in taskman for the process to processor 0. if you don't know what this means, take your dual processor computer back, and buy an imac

Advice required on new Motherboard Purchase

Yuk!!! the se440bx is a terrible board!!!! the company i used to work for refused to diviate from that crappy board, but time and time again it failed to do what we needed... HELL, it can't even have 2 floppies!!! I finally talked them into supermicro boards (as they are rock solid and not too pricy) right before i left. and intel's server-boards!! what an ungodly mess!!! i didn't even have to talk my coworkers into supermicro boards for out servers, the choice was obvious... intel can't make good boards, and that is final Quote: Originally posted by BladeRunner: Hi, Yes I know that a lot of the BX boards can take at least a few of the Coppermine's. But...... Up until now I have always been an Intel board person. To be honest I've always found the boards very reliable, currently on my 5th. I'm using the SE440BX-2, but due to the voltage regulator installed on my reviosion of the board it wont accept any of the coppermine's 550mhz enough......never!!! Must have more power!!! Well, OK, yes it is fine for me at the moment, the only reason I would like a board that will accept the CuMine's is that a faster CPU might become an option for me at any minute (not going into too much detail here and I'd hate to miss out on the chance of a faster CPU just because my board wont accept it. 6. Windows 2K loads in 30 seconds for me too... and it has ogl and networking... gots'ta love hibernate! Now it works perfectly in ACPI mode with the few simple rules: PCI slot 1 must not be used. Com ports don't work in ACPI. AGP just doen't work. Before, only up to 3.66 on my TNT worked, I have a Hauppauge WinTV in PCI Slot 1, and it worked until i switched to the 5.13 drivers, now the TNT is fully operational (AGP system is mobo side) the TNT uses the interupt exclusively, so if I try to use the TV card the system hangs instantly, bearing in mind that PCI1 and AGP port are IRQ- hardwired. I don't care about this, or the Com ports as I knackered them by installing a different PCB version Bios (1.2), and have skipped the bios error by setting "halt on no errors", but they still work in win9x regardless. The bios says "i/o conflict xxx xxx xxx" it can't be fixed apparently Stb Velocity 4400 AGP 16Mb FIC va503+ v 1.1b bios JK4324 w/ current limiter disabled 450 AHX K6-2 Wintv realtek 8029 SB PCI64 Isa int modem (com 2) Overall if you follow these rules the system will work most of the time! I tried it again by completely re-installing after a Partition overlap error, caused a drive overhaul, and I even got the MS drivers to work first time, amazing. And its been faultless since (unless I want to use my MU100r serial midi link or watch tv), and I hope you've all downloaded Beos V5. It loads in 20 seconds and everything works, as soon as opengl and the new networking is shortly released it will be the future OS of choice. Its a Mac with out the Mac!
  7. I had this problem... Matrox states that you need to uninstall the drivers, make sure USB is enabled in the bios, install usb driver (automatically), reboot, then install matrox drivers again... let me know if this helps

    Help with 5.13 and Opengl

that seamed to work for ogl, but now no d3d... oh well, i used nt before... so i'm used to it ;-) all my favorite games use ogl anyway Quote: Originally posted by statto79: hi, I had the same problem but managed to fix it. Remove all your current drivers and make sure the files are removed from the system32 directory (nv*.dll, etc. but not nv4.dll). Also, search the oem*.inf files in the inf directory and remove the nvidia ones. then reboot. now reinstall the nvidia drivers you want to use and opengl should be working. I don't know if all of those steps are neccesary, but it fixed mine. hope this helps, statto79 (sorry for the mistake posting above) [This message has been edited by statto79 (edited 04 April 2000).]

Open GL not working, TNT2, 5.13

I had older drivers that were working, albiet with some odd problems, but working none the less. I installed the 5.13 det drivers, which worked for a while, but stopped. I have no idea why. The renderer reverts to the Microsoft DLL, but, oddly enough, Quake 3 will still run... at .9FPS. Reinstalling the old drivers fixes nothing... i must be reg f**ked or something... any help will help

    PacBell DSL Modem

#?!@$%!@%!#$%!# PAC BELL and their !@#!@# for brains employee's!!!! The new Dynamic IP !@#!@#!@ software will not work in 2000, barely works in nt, is a stupid idea to begin with, and forces you to use a microsoft product..... better fork out the extra 40 for static ip's... NT and Q3 SMP fps?!

You really need a fast video card to help with SMP quake 3... i wrote a review some months ago and gave it to a friend... http://www.g200.com/archives/July99/July.htm july 22... if you get a nice fast tnt2 or maybe voodoo 3500, you should see favorible results... unless i really dropped the image quality down, i got 0 increase in performance...
  15. i can't get this game to even crash... i double click the icon and after 2 seconds of hard drive activity... windows 2k looks at me expectantly like nothing was sposed ta happen
