Hi, I have a athlon cpu and a creative anhilator pro (geforce ddr) card. just last night i noticed that it is not running at agp2x but only at agp1x i was wondering as to how it can be changed so my geforce card takes advantage of agp2x thanks, chudy

Hi all, I've been having problems with my machine lately..... to describe it quickly it's a p2-500, 256megs ram, viper v770 tnt2 video card running 3.6.5 drivers, aureal vortex1 sound card (8820 chip)...win2k pro 2195 i just started playing q3 and ut (finally got time over christmass break) whenever i play Quake3 (only games i play anyways) the screen freezes up, pauses for a few seconds and then resumes regular play,and it keeps on doing it sometimes for like half a minute! freezing and unfreezing.... the only thing that is refreshing during the screen when it freezez up is the shield and helth points...weird, i tried 3.5.2 drivers and same problem arises.....i even tried changing sound cards.... now for UT it plays normal to a point and then after usually approximately 5-15 minutes i loose all input controls (mouse and keyboard) but i can see the game playing out normally, bots move around, kill me and stuff like that...the only way out of that is to kill the ut.exe process from task manager....i am just greatly puzzled, any hints or ideas? thanks alot!! -Chudy

I've emailed the writeDVD people a bunch of times, and they ignored all my emails, I dont know if i like em anymore.....plus the pricetag is hefty!! if there would be just some other choice! i have a toshiba dvd-ram and works beautiful under win98 but god i hate win98.....i treid hacking the update of writeDVD for NT(with success) so if anyone wants to know how to do that lemme know, but it doesnt work under win2k [This message has been edited by chudy (edited 20 December 1999).]

Hi, Does anybody know of any dvd-ram software that supports Windows 2000? I just purchased a DVD-RAM drive and it came with no NT or 2000 drivers so i'm stuck with 98 (yuck) The only program that I've heard of is writeDVD....

just a little fyi build 2091 has buit-in support for vortex1/2 based sound cards! if you go to win2k channels on efnet you might be lucky to get it....

can anybody who was succesful post here or email me (chudy2@hotmail.com) a working nfshs.exe that will not give me a "not valid win32 appliation" error? is that no-cd ***** needed as well and where can i get it? Thanks!

well vortex1 is also supported under nt4.....

it's not still in beta for nothing! wait till the official release and then we can all ***** and complain at microsoft!

Hi all, i need help getting my aureal vortex1 sound card working under win2pro build 2072... i have tried both win95/98 and nt4 drivers but they didnt work (surprise surprise) did any of you manage getting this sound card to work in any way? i have tried soudblaster 1.x compatible settings and others but it just wont go should i just invest in a different sound card? also i'd like to overclock my tnt2 under win2k as it's only a tnt2 but works 100% stable under at 170mhz core setting.... sorry for the long post and any help/tips will be appreciated!
