    RealTek Audio Sound System Problems

Hey Brokenship - I ran into that problem as well. Once you get into that website you have to choose which operating system you are running into. It looks like Realtek just has a generic driver set that applies to all their software. Right now the version is 2.29 - so just download the appropriate version. It will not damage your computer. ---------- Another solution is to go to the RealTek Sound Manager, then go to Audio I/O, then, to the left of the word "ANALOG" there is a settings tool icon. Click that and you will get the following choices: __Disable Front Panel Detection, __Mute Rear Panel Output...__Enable Auto Pop-up Dialog When Device Has Been Plugged In. I unchecked the first two boxes and checked the last one, and the problem has stopped. I know its counter intuitive but perhaps it will solve your problem - as it solved mine.
