This happened to me, at first it was a simple Error when I got to bulldozing houses etc.. Sims Deluxe edition has never worked for me properly -.- I suggest getting rid of your sims deluxe edition for another Sims disc.. it might be easier to just get an all in one game, though.

Tried up[censored] your nvidia drivers? That's usually the problem.. If that doesnt work, how many expansions you have? It might be how the graphics card hasnt enough memory for your system.. also, is the ram low and your graphics integrated? Hopefully I helped
