  1. I'll answer myself. It was an utility called cacheman that was creating the issue. Once recovered the initial configuration in cacheman, it fixed my xp network problems. Thanks Luca
  2. Hello, I'm having a problem with the network. It would be great if you could help me out thank you in advance! My home lan is made of 2 windowsxp-pro-sp2 machines connected to an adsl modem/router. They share the adsl internet connection and can see each other on the lan. The problem is that when I share a drive on any machine, I can't see all the files and folders thru the network path. example: I shared C and assigned full control to 'Everyone'. If I browse c:\games I can see 4 folders. If I browse \\mycomputer\C\games I can only see 1 folder. I'm using full automatic ip/dns settings and both computers are part of the same workgroup (without domain). sp2 Firewalls are off. Permissions is all activated to everyone and security full control to everyone. Also tried turning the guest account on. And simple sharing is off. COuld it be the adsl modem/router faulty? remember computers can see each others and both can browse the internet. The adslmodem router is called "U.S. RoboticsĀ® SureConnect ADSL Modem and 4-Port Router USR019105" and it comes with default hardware firewall and adsl modem. thanks for your help Luca Zappala ml2003@lumo3d.com
