After spenting almost two months trying to figure out MD Linux 10.1 to load, in the end still nothing works. I get one error message after another and now it's the partitions, the screen, the video card, the hard drive. I didn't go into this without checking the software out first and then the system it was going to go on. Now, I'm trying to go back to WinME and have run into another problem. It appears that GRUB is on my hard drive and has taken up a lot of room. So much so that WinME won't load. I've tried to go to my C: drive and FORMAT or use FDisk, I get "Invalid Media type reading drive C... So how do I get Grub off my system so I can move on? What a mess!

ANSWERS to your questions: **Were tou able to od a graphical install, or did it revert to a text install?**** No, I did the graphical install and it seemed fine. ***BTW, what were the names of the iso files that you burned, just to make sure that you got the correct ones for this system? I finally got MD 10.1 to load on my computer and when I got to the end it said to take out my CD and reboot. I took out the CD and the Boot disk and rebooted my machine. A black screen came up with... Localhost login: I put my name in here. Then the next line says: Last login: Sat Nov 20 on tty1 [my name@localhost my name]$ I can't get around this and don't know what to put in after the dollar sign... Does anyone know what is going on?
