    Connecting to a new domain

Followed your instructions but still unable to connect, the same message still appears. I only have one DHCP server and the IP settings on the workstation appear to be ok. I'd be grateful if you have any more suggestions. Cheers, Ste

    Connecting to a new domain

Hi I've recently installed a new server running Server 2003 and created a new domain. All of my XP workstations connected to the new domain without any problems, apart from one. When I try to connect this one I get a message saying 'The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "mydomain": Access is denied' I've created a computer account on the server and reset all the IP settings on the workstation, but this made no difference. Does anyone have any ideas? The old domain was running on server NT4 if that's any help. Cheers, Ste

    Boot problems

Hi, I have used a Windows XP image on a computer that has a slightly different configuration from the machine I originally ghosted. Now normally using 98 or ME the new hardware would auto detect during the first boot up, but for some reason XP refuses to boot and just resets itself when you try to enter safe mode. Any ideas?
  4. Hi again, can anyone tell whether it's possible to prevent windows xp from creating local profiles when a new user logs-in. Some of them are reaching sizes up to 50MB and are starting to cause problems with hard disk space. Thanks

    Default cursor

Can anyone tell me whether it's possible to prevent users from changing the mouse cursor on XP workstations? It would be ideal if I could do this through Group policy.
